Timers/Cups
The traditional suit of Cups represents undercurrents
of emotion and intuition. Our true desires and feelings about others
come to light in the individual cards. I chose Timers to represent
this suit in the Discworld tarot, the life timers of Death's realm.
This has links with intuition (through the magical world) and with
emotion and desire through the drives of life and death. It represents
all those characters which are separate from the usual human experience
in some way.

Card
Name: Two of Timers
Card Meaning: This card signifies a connection being
made, whether a friend, a creative partnership or a romance. Agreement
and harmony abound. Be aware of others not in this partnership,
however - especially if it is a new love, try not to exclude others.
If it is a romantic connection, it is well founded on mutual love
and understanding. Kindred spirits.

it. Make the effort to connect with others. May indicate depression
and solitary brooding.

Card

achieve what you want not by wishing but by more practical methods.
Avoid laziness and over-emotion.

the Hogfather.

Card Name: Page of Timers
Represented By: Sweeper (Lu Tze)
Casting: Peter O'Toole
Card Details: Lu Tze is a young-at-heart adult. He has an excellent grasp of situations around him and of the underlying things that are really important in life: reinforced socks, sweeping and growing mountains on trays. He is able to take the time to appreciate the smaller things in life whilst pursuing an artistic and spiritual path (often because he's swept it first).
Card Reading: A card of thought and imagination, the Page represents light heartedness and childlike wonder. In a reading this card indicates the importance of the arts, of embracing your creative side, of thinking 'out of the box' in a problematic situation. This card also signifies children, either the arrival of children or the importance of a youthful attitude. Trust your instincts and take pleasure in the things around you.

Card Name: Knight of Timers
Represented By: Albert (Alberto Malich)
Casting: Geoffrey Rush
Card Details: Albert is moody, but with good reason: he only has a few days left to live. Luckily, he can put them on hold until he's run out of loo roll or lard. He also leads something of a double life, making him by nature shifty and mysterious under pressure. He does however have considerable power and experience which still colours how he sees himself. He can be cunning but under pressure remains loyal to Death, his master - whether out of faithfulness or self-interest.
Card Reading: The Knight is an uncertain card. Usually representing someone who is powerful but subtle, hovering between using their abilities for good or evil. Prone to extremes of emotion and reason, of idealism and hard reality, you need to make sure that this person is not out of control and affecting your future adversely. Keep a healthy level of scepticism and keep your real emotions to yourself; be true to your moral code.

Card Name: Queen of Timers
Represented By: Susan Sto Helit
Casting: Jennifer Connelly
Card Details: Susan is a practical person, practical and realistic to a fault, but she also can't deny the supernatural side of her heritage. Going beyond mere genetics, her disdain or exasperation with the demands of living outside normal human experience skews her character towards reliance upon science and mathematics - hard to maintain when a small skeletal rat is tapdancing on your textbooks and a raven is picking over the pickle jars for eyeballs.
Card Reading: A practical person who nevertheless is open to visionary events or psychic experiences. Intuition and emotion balance out the fairness and adherence to facts which dominate this person's personality. This card signifies happiness if spirituality is tempered by a grounding in real life.

|
Card Name: King of Timers
Represented By: Lobsang/Jeremy
Casting: Paul Bettany
Card Details: Lobsang and Jeremy, two personae that make up Time, together are a huge source of energy, of knowledge. When blended they show great skill and maturity, using the experience gained at their apprenticeships to temper Time's inexorable nature with human flexibility and compassion, and also a decidedly human flair for the dramatic.
Card Reading: A multi-skilled person, an inspiring leader or manager. This person is a great mentor, bringing his innate and cultivated qualities of friendship, consideration and generosity. Knowledge of human nature, religion or arts is also important. This card indicates the value of staying calm under pressure, of getting to know the people around you and finding out what makes them tick. Maturity, diplomacy and reliability.

the start of all sorts of positive experiences and influences, from
love (not necessarily romantic) to health and happiness. A positive
card to draw, especially if your past has been bleak. Spiritual
health, fertility and the home are also highlighted.

Azrael at the end of Reaper Man.
